Here is a list of some of the educational and fun activities the Scouts have participated in over the past few years:
Decorated haunted trails for younger scouts at the Cole Canoe Base Camp Haunted Trail
Worked on merit badges at Cole Canoe Base Camp Summer Camp
Collected hundreds of pounds of food for the less fortunate
Bicycled the I-275 Metro Trail and camping at Lower Huron Metro Park
Rode the rides at Cedar Point during HalloWeekend
Visited the National Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH
Stayed overnight in a reportedly haunted Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit, MI
Went snowshoeing at Hartwick Pines State Park in Grayling, MI
Biked 50 miles on the Macomb Orchard Trail around Armada, MI
Attended car races at Flat Rock Speedway in Carleton, MI
Sorted, moved and boxed over 2300 pounds of food for local families at Gleaners in Pontiac
Canoed down the Huron River and then camped at Kensington Metro Park
Built cedar birdhouses for Coolidge Elementary's Habitat
Visited the Indianapolis Speedway Museum
Learned the art and history of blacksmithing at Kensington Metropark
Spent an afternoon on a pontoon boat cruising and swimming the Ausable River
Attended an Order of the Arrow Sash and Bash weekend
Explored the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and stayed in log cabins
Slept overnight in a cave at Blue Springs Caverns in Indiana
Played a few games of curling at the Detroit Curling Club
Went whitewater rafting on the Lower Youghageny River in Pennsylvania
Spit pumpkin seeds over 30 feet
Played Whirleyball with friends and family
Helped Cub Scouts find their way by volunteering at an Orienteering course
Watched school buses (and boats!) race around a figure eight race track at Flat Rock Speedway
Helped keep Livonia clean by cleaning up Rotary Park for Take Pride in Livonia Days
Attended a Livonia City Council meeting as part of a merit badge requirement
Attended the Lincoln Pilgrimage at D-A scout Ranch
Went kayaking on the Huron River
Learned all about Civil War history from a Civil War re-enactor as Senator Jacob Howard from Michigan
Helped maintain a model railroad set for exhibit
Rand bells and sang carols for the Salvation Army
Attended a Star party at D-A Scout Ranch
Hosted several Cub Scout packs at camping and activity nights
Went paddle boarding at Wilson State Park in Harrison, MI
Navigated a corn maze at Maybury State Park
Went bowling at Cloverlanes
Held online Scout meetings during Shelter In Place orders (including playing Scouting Trivia Kahoot!)
